Summer Travel Survival

If you’re flying this summer, you probably know a few tricks to make your flight more comfortable like traveling in economy plus, using noise-cancelling headphones, and bringing an iPad full of your favorite shows. Staying healthy in the germ-filled airplane environment, however, is another challenge altogether.

When I travel, there are a few items I always bring along. Following are my recommendations for getting the most out of your trip this summer.

1. Curing Pills– This two-thousand-year-old formula is made up of herbs that stimulate and support digestion, reduce nausea, and offset overeating. In a pinch, they can also be used to calm a queasy stomach related to hangovers. If you typically have digestive issues when traveling, including constipation, then take two pills at takeoff and two more upon arrival.

2. Gan Mao Ling– Ever get on a plane only to realize you’re just starting to come down with a cold? There’s no worse feeling. That’s why I also have Gan Mao Ling in my carry-on bag. This formula contains antiviral and antibacterial herbs as well as ones that relieve congestion and stop sneezing. Take as directed- typically 4-6 tablets 3-4x/day.

3. Jet Lag Formula– While this formula doesn’t adjust your circadian rhythm, it does do just about everything else. This blend of herbs, quenches free radicals to offset radiation; boost immunity and circulation, support hydration, and calm the nerves.

4. Herban Essentials Lemon Towelettes– A nice to have on any plane, the essential oils act as a natural antibacterial and cleaning wipe, perfect for any tray table, or dirty hands after a long flight.
